Phelps Faster Again, New World Record

American Michael Phelps with the sensational victory at the finals of the World championship in Rome became the first man who swam that section in less than 50 seconds. Cavic led until almost the finish, but he came second by European record of 49,95 seconds.

Phelps "brough back" the world record with this victory in Rome, by swimming the section in 49,82 seconds. The third place was taken by Spaniard Rafael Munoz with the result of 50,41 seconds.

The final race was held 24 hours after the Serbian swimmer swam with the time of 50,01 seconds new world record in the discipline, in which, before, was the fastest one his main rival , great Michael Phelps.
