The best serbian swimmer Milorad Cavic decided to act as Santa Claus and before New Year 2009 comes, he surprised pupils of the school for those who do not see well "Dragan Kovacevic"and gave them many presents. Though he did not want to make lots of publicity, a papparazzo of the Kurir newspapers managed to caught him delivering presents. Even though our swimmer stressed he did not approve any media coverage of this sort of his actions.
After thechoice the Olympic Committee of Serbia declared tennis player Jelena Jankovic and swimmer Milorad Cavic were as the best sportsmen of the year.
The best Serbian man team was chosen the Serbian volleyball team , and for the best woman team was chosen handball selection. Rewards were given during the ceremony organized by the Olympic Committee of Serbia at the Parliament building .
"This reward made me greatly pleased. I hope I will repeat these accomplishments next year" – Cavic said.
The promised cash reward of 90,000 Euros for Milorad`s success at the past championships has been finally paid. The Ministry of Sport transferred money to his bank account.
The cash reward has been paid in dinars and it is for two gold medals at the European championships in short-courses in Debrecen 2007, and for gold medal at the EC in Eindhoven in March 2008, when he was suspended from the competition.
